I haven't followed the book thread but Mennonite Press has a great reputation for quality printing and will advise you wisely as to how your book should be printed/published.

They will advise you whether a spiral bound book would be best or if one of several styles of hard bound styles would be best. If you can get a copy of their book about publishing it goes into details such as this. There are cheaply made hardbound books and quality hardbound books.

Very good reputation for them not taking advantage of someone.
