Well it is your idea so what should it be called??
Then there is a problem when do I start it??
Do I start it was the younger years or when I got in the Navy or where??
Oh by the way I have never figured out how I have lived as long as I have since many many times because of things I was doing should have killed me. Like the time I totaled a 1965 Chev Bel-air with a Honda 90 motorcycle. Or the time a 1962 Plymouth valiant fell of the jack and I rolled out from under it faster then it was falling.
Or heres a real good one. Some friend and I where out at a river in MS shooting snapping turtles one guy said I bet you miss the next one coming up. I total him no way. I had 2 guns with me that day a 22 rifle and a 12 gauge shot gun. The shot gun was laying at my feet when he said that and the rifle was in my hands. I bent down to tie my shoe but what I was really doing was grabbing the shot gun. I slipped in a 00 buck and the next turtle that came up I didn't miss. All you saw after that was a big blood spot in the water. I won the bet by the way LOL All be it I did sort of cheat but he didn't say which gun I had to use

The hardest part of writing anything is getting started. I agree. Where do you start? How about? "I was born at a very early age."

Well to tell the truth I probably did hit 2 out of 3 of the coons. Some how it is pretty hard to miss when your shooting a shot shell out of a 44mag sort of like shooting a 410 shot gun. I know for a fact I got one of them just not good enough to put him in the burn pile LOL

Not to sure about a title but some sugestion for chapters.

1. Things to do before you get old.
2. Things to do after you get old.
3. And most importantly. Things NOT to do in
in order that you do get old.

You have any idea what it costs to buy all the stuff you need to tan a hide?? Yep BTDT also and found out it isn't cheap as in $50 plus for all the correct stuff. We did a deer hide a few years ago and if it was cheaper to do them I would do them all you would not believe how warm a blanket they will make if you leave the hair on them or for that matter a coat but I would not want to wear a coat like that much a guy could get shot doing so

Oh believe me if it was cheaper I would tan the hides they are or can be worth a good bit but the cost up front is hard on a person and the work not sure if it is worth it all or not. Ya you can do it the old way but that is real hard work and I'm to old for all that plus seems that parts of me do not work well any more LOL

Well see all that would be is a short story I thought Larry wanted the whole story from your to old LOL and every thing in between since he did say something about who knows what he has up his sleeve

old, after the book is published, and you are rich and famous, are you still going to tell your stories on yt? lol

Yep very true I have had a good number of close calls over the years and also doing things that should never have been done like pull starting a tractor with another tractor and do so with only me as in one person Can be done but you have the be fast on your feet and have a big open field and if you trip you dead.
Years ago we had a 1935 JD-B which I still have an an Allis B both where hand start and the common problem was the one you needed was the one that did not start so you use the one to pull the other. I'll not explain it more so maybe a kid will not try it

Well shoot yes I will have to since just because I write a book the story will keep going on right?? So then the problem is if I right a book then I have to buy ink for the printer, then find some one to proof read it and then some one to publish it and I have no idea how to do any of that so maybe some one on here can help me out on this LOL

I remember reading one time about a guy who tried that. He had an old loader tractor hooked to the round baler in the field. It wouldn't start when he went to use it,so he was gonna tow it himself. He put the pickup in gear, jumped out and onto the tractor, figured when it started he'd run back to the pickup and stop it. Trouble was,as soon as the tractor started, the chain came unhooked and the truck took off. Said he caught up with it with the tractor, dropped the loader under the bumper and lifted the back wheels off the ground just a few feet shy of an 8 foot cliff.

Well since this is down a little I'll explain how I did it. Which ever tractor would start I would use to tow the other out into the filed. Put it in 1st gear and tie the steering wheel straight. Jump off and run back to the other tractor. Jump on slip it in 1st gear and let the clutch out and when it started take it out of gear then run up to the pulling tractor and jump on stop it back up and unhook the chain. did that many times over a few years till we got the Ford 841 so it took up the slack and from then on did 99% of the work on the place.
That said I would never say it was a good thing or a smart thing to do and could in fact get a person dead if they messed up

Now then a question for you. Would you really like to see me do this or is this all in fun. Yes I really want to know if you think I could have a best seller non fiction

Yep chalk it up to YOUNG, DUMB and full of well I'll be nice. Yep I would not try it now days unless I just plain had to and even then it would have to be a thing where it was life or death
