anybody feel the earthquake this morning???

had a 4.3 quake here in illinois near virgil illinois, (dekalb area), was having coffee and watch ing the news, felt kinda like a big snow plow truck in the basement. no damage reported. geez i didnt know our area was an earthquake zone!!!

didnt hear about it, i had one of my own last night, F-22 raptor climbing out for night ops. they like to play in this area, out of holloman afb, jet noise- the sound of freedom

dave, you're you're only about 25 minutes south of me, i am up in yorkville. from what the news said the epicenter was near sycamore, close to virgil il. you going to the grundy county consinment auction at the end of the month??

Yea, I felt it in Belvidere, I thought I was the only no mention of it on thr news. It was around 4:05 am right ?

It seems I read once that here in MN is one of the most earthquake proof places in the world.
I guess we sit on top of a 3 mile thick slab of solid granite. Perhaps it's some consolation for all the rocks we have in our soil.

We had a 3.3 earthquake about 30 miles northwest of Amarillo, TX, too, a few days ago!

Pretty crazy - I didn't think we were an "earthquake zone" area, either!

Oh shoot that is just a New Madrid fault telling us to get ready for when it gets mad and lets loose. It is way over due for a bell ringing in PA again and when it lets loose this time it might make the mighty mo go back wards again also

Salesman was in the plant here in Bloomington, IN this morning. He lives around Arlington Heights, Il. His wife called him on his cell phone while he was here and told him about it.

I always go to Grundy auction except when they had a large blizzard about 15 years ago. Also the last quake was in june 2004 and it lasted longer and was closer to me near Troy Grove,IL.
