It is snowing now that is not bad. But what is under it is. Feeding cattle in mud is the pits. I have 12"- 14" deep ruts from the tractor. Snow I can move but what to do with mud. Can't get gravel to the places that need it and it keeps getting wetter. They are calling for colder temps and if it freezes a person could break a axle in the ruts. Come on warm weather and sun!

So where are you at?? I know here in Missouri my area it is snowing but melting as soon as it hits the ground. Yep mud is bad and I'm sure glad I do not have t move any hay right now

It seems like the only time we have normal weather is when it's going from one extreme to another. We were in a severe drought for several months, then it began raining and hasn't stopped. This last summer, we had the longest stretch of 100* plus days that I remember and this winter has been the coldest in recent memory, though mild compared to the northern half of the country. I'm ready for some spring time weather, though my wife just told me that they are predicting snow flurries for Houston later this week. Somebody should have shot that groundhog.

Eldo,

I live in Middle Tennessee about 40 miles south of Nashville. The mud is TERRIBLE here. My farm is very hilly. I can't get up the hills to spread out the hay that I feed to my cows. My tractor slides sideways down the hills when I try to drive across the hills instead of up them. It's a real mess right now.

It's freezing at night, so the ground is icy just below the mud.

I'm more than just a little bit ready for some warmer, drier weather, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen any time soon.

i been using my dozer to move hay for last 2 months...tractor was sinkin while parked...rainin again now and forecast all week AGAIN!

Here in colorado it seems like we just get the barn yard thawed out and the mud gone and sure enough with in a day or 2 of getting it dry it snows again and makes another mess that takes weeks to clear up.

Ok out about 75 miles west of me on hwy 54. Went to a sale over there a couple years ago at a tractor dealers lot. Didn't get much but they had a lot of stuff at the time

you need a Cletrac or the like then bolt oak 2x6 to the track and have a 24 inch wide track . we can't take a tractor down the road , so we take a cletrac. works great.

Yep we are up to our eyeballs in mud and now we have 10" of snow on top of that. 10 days ago we got 12" of snow. so far this winter we"ve had over 25" of snow and this is Arkansas! I wish the ground would freeze, at least I could feed the cattle.
