Here a while back there was topic on here about American made blue jeans. Pointer Brand out of TN was one brand that was talked about but they don't have the carpenter syle in my size. Does any one know the name of any other brands that are made here?

Thank you much.

Dave

I do not know what size you ware,I dont need to know,But I buy mostly DICKY, why they are cheaper
and they last just as long as the other jeans.
also I think thy made in the good old USA.

if they are made in Texas, why don't they list there address? and their phone number is in Carolina? why is that...

Seems to me all those on-line stores don't want you to know where they are located, or it is difficult to find their mailing address and I wonder why that is

My daddy always told me God gave you two ears and one mouth for a reason, so you would listen twice as much as you talked. In your case, I'll have to change it to two EYES and one mouth.
Did I or anyone else say they were made in Texas, or did you just assume that by the name? Had you taken a moment to check out the website a bit more you would have seen this:

So as you can see they are indeed in "Carolina" as you stated, North Carolina to be exact. I suppose they named their American Made Jeans "Texas Jeans" assuming they would sell better than "North Carolina Jeans". No slam to NC, it's a beautiful state but I'm sure you understand the name thing.
How many of us would run out and buy a pair of jeans named "Afghanistan Jeans, or maybe Bangladesh Jeans"?
Think about it.
OK, I'm done.

I"m wearing a pair of "Dickies" Bib Overalls right now and the tag says "Made in Mexico". I also have several newer pairs of Wrangler Cowboy Jeans and they all say "Made in USA". My favorite Jeans are about 10 year old "Work and Sport" Carpenters Jeans from Blains Farm and Fleet in ILL. and they say "Made in USA". Several pairs of "Levi Jeans" I have, say made in Columbia, another pair say, made in Hong Kong, etc. Wrangler seems to be the one for USA made jeans but I don"t know if their carpenter jeans are USA made.I've wore out a lot of USA made Carhart Bibs and Carpenter Jeans but Carharts are like Levi's,made all over the world now.Good Luck in your search.

Wrangler jeans are now made in Honduras. I used to like them, but now the quality is not what it was when made in USA. he denim is lighter and have problems with the crotch and back pockets tearing... Gene

its funny...i've seen Texas this and that all over the world, but you hardly ever see business' named Texas ___ in Texas.

(quoted from post at 07:55:33 02/06/10) Here a while back

Us kids always got a kick out of Grandpa saying that cause you'd never know if he was talking about a couple hours or 50 years ago....... Don't know about the pants, still trying to find a coat myself. Maybe we should just loose weight????

Try these people it right near me but I can't afford them my buddy won't by anything else. Made from very heavy denim. Loggers out here swear by them.

Roundhouse in Oklahoma makes mostly overalls, but also some jeans (aka: dungarees).

I've used their overalls for a while now. I don't know how they stay in business because the overalls are made so well they seem to last forever.

Their dungarees don't look all that stylish, but they're probably just as durable.

Some or most maybe made in Honduras but the ones I buy at the local western store are made in the USA. Double D Western Wear in Wickenburg Az. will not stock or sell clothing made any where but in the USA.

Prison Blues--made by inmates at an Oregon correctional facility. "Made on the inside to be worn on the outside".

Wranglers made in USA are the choice in SD. But buy them at farm store and get the copper rivets and leather tag.
Wally word has the China made wrnglers for about 60% prive but they are cheep imitation.

Downsouth,

Thanks, you are right, I did assume, and we all know what assume means!

Anyway what makes it worse is I did go to the website and still didn't see where they were, but the telephone area code I did check out, I reckon I didn't look at more options there on the website
