to frustrate me, can't do anything on dirt without digging huge ruts and I have a mile long rock road that I have to maintain to get back to my place which is getting ruined as well. I'll bet its been 6 months since the cattle have had dry feet.

I know it is all in God's plan but it sure is a test of patience.....

maybe that's the lesson

I know the feeling,

My back yard here in Dallas,Texas hasn't been dry since first part of October... Even the Howells have said it was the wettest Oct. in 20 years! and I believe them.

I reckon we can just view the pretty summer pics that a lot of people here on this site have been posting for our enjoyment and then we can day dream of dry summer!

lol, god never gives us more than we can handle,--- sometimes i just wish he didn't trust me quite so much

I hate rain I hate snow I hate WINTER I have a 1/2 mile long driveway thats hilly an I'm settin here just watch it good to h#ll an its still pouring down over my way Well maybe I can get something done in the garage

Sounds like you have a problem being from Texas it is supposed to be dry and dusty all year long there.
I was stationed in Austin for 4 years, it was real wet or reeeaaaalll dry.

I know what you mean. With the exception of a small, ten day "dry" spell in August this year we have had mud here since at least a year ago in August. It is hard to get your normal work done let alone any additional projects. I have a feeling when it stops raining it will stop for an equally long time. Mike

In my part of Texas. It dries up just enough so you can level all the ruts. Then it rains again. Sure do miss the dust blowing around.

that mess left about 2" here in my part of Tejas...skeered to wish it would go away after 2 years of drought...sposed to be sunny and nice this weekend and rain again next week...cant catch a break...gopher sand is saturated...yall that dont know what gopher sand is,it means, you get stuck...you gopher help.

Hey, Oldmax, I was at Austin too(Bergstrom AFB) back in the 60"s. 4130th Combat Support 50th Munition Main Group,(heavy weapons). I am in Canton,Tex now.and my land is so wet you can almost water ski anywhere on it. I am sick of all the rain. Been trying to cover up and fill an old pond LOL Sunk my mitsubishi dozer 3 times this year, I just let it sit now and wait for dryer times. What part of the base were you on? Thanks for serving with us!!

Right about now, I'd be willing to trade my snow mountains all around my yard with your rain. I have never seen this much snow and ice in my entire 60 yrs. Sure glad I pushed it way back the first snow so i still have a yard left. Roofs are starting to either cave in now or are showing signs of structural stress. and still 2 months of winter left.

Ya, I'm in Tulsa and have never seen the ground so saturated, might be fun if I had a swamp buggy.

Had to close off the wifes circle drive. Need 3 or 4 loads of gravel but am afraid to have a gravel truck in the drive right now. Parts that have always been solid are turning to mud and all my tractor does is make bigger ruts. It's going to need to dry out at least two weeks before I can order gravel and start fixing things.

More comming from the west coast, wish they would keep it...

Reeves is right.

We got 22 inches at the farm (east Tx) in October and haven't had more than 5 dry days in a row since. Have had water standing in low places for days. Ground is pretty much saturated.

Rained last Friday, was cold and wet Sat. Started raining Wed. evening and didn't quit until very late Thurs. nite.

More rain predicted for this Monday, then even more on Wed. & Thurs.

Its a mess.

Mother nature..ha right.
I posted the thread yesterday that ended up getting pulled about weather modification. Everyone called me a nut, I admit I'm not entirely sane (JK) but I tell you guys what. I have been researching weather modification every since the mid 80's and it's real as anything. The nnalert are just overusing it now for several reasons. external_link wants a solid sheet of snow to "adjust" the global climate and constant cloud cover to reflect the warming of the sun. Simple as that. I realize it sounds a bit fantastic and sci-fi but for god sake do some research if you think I'm crazy. This plan has been in the works since just before the '85 farm bill.
