Any of you ever use SaniFlush to clean out a radiator and engine block? How well does it work compared to the modern alternatives in the auto parts stores? After using SaniFlush....should it be followed with a sal soda flush as well?

I would never try it but I have found that vinegar works well and is also cheap Drain the coolant then fill with vinegar run it for an hour or 2 let cool drain and flush

i'd be afraid its way to caustic. may eat water pump seals, start working on the gaskets ect. i agree with old on the vinegar flush. its a very mild acetic acid, wont hurt you if you get it on you, its non toxic, and it makes you think of lettuce and croutons!!!

Well...I had googled radiator flushing and some said it worked great...then I even found an old 1940"s Saniflush ad claiming it worked for radiators. I just thought I"d see if anybody here had tried it in a tractor.

I also read about the cascade treatment. This block is full of rusty gunk from nearly 60 years of use and I want to get as much as possible, out.

Iv used it to clean rusty parts in. Also used lye too. Cannot buy either where I live any more. They say its drug paraphamila. Even munatic acid is controled on how much can be bought at once.

Try this product. It's called core restore. It's the only thing I've found that really works since they outlawed the old dupont no 7. I've used this in my cars and my corvettes many times and it really cleans out the cooling system well.

I used to use Draino to clean a radiator out and never had a problem, run it untill it gets to operating temp and then drain it,
