my 1958? ford 641 s/n 57480 4spd. trans needs meor gearing for turning ground and in between gears for pulling disc harrow that i have , how do you guys feel about the sherman or hupp step up step down aux trans? would you suggest this for my application or is there a better option that i am unaware of? how about the gearing setup behind transmission so that i dont change my pto ratio? need help all opinions are welcome good bad or otherwise .. just want to make the right decision the first time and only do the job once..

I can't say how I feel about your 641 but I can tell you what I think about it.
Your tractor is a great plowing and discing machine even with just a 4 speed. A Sherman combination tranny will give you more gears to choose from. Dunno if you really need them to plow and disc.
No matter how much money you spend on that tractor you will never make it a good pto or tiller tractor. Can't be done. If you want a good pto or tiller buy a Massey 135 Deluxe or Ford 3000 or whatever JD made in that genre.
