For a state that's flat broke,Michigan sure is quick to get checks out. I sent the form in for my state gas tax refund for off road gas a week ago. The check came already yestrday. I didn't think the Post Office could move that fast,let alone the state treasury.

Yea,I spent all of it plus $12 a few hours before it came,getting a tractor tire fixed.

Doesn't it fry you that you have to pay the tax and then apply for it refunded? seems like they could just not charge the tax on delivered fuel. But then that would be too easy.

What's worse is,we have to pay income tax on the refund of money we didn't owe anyway!
