Temperature this morning about 32. Looks like 1/2 to 1 inch of sleet, but I haven't been out with a ruler. More sleet with snow on top further west. Hendersonville, NC has 9 inches. Sleet, freeezing rain, snow forecast here before clearing out. I'm in southern Spartanburg county, SC. Hendersonville is 50 wmiles west and 1400 feet higher.

We just had freezing rain here in southern Oconee county. I taught in Woodruff years ago. Where are you in southern Spartenburg County.

We had about an inch of snow and it it is sleeting now. (10am) We are expecting sleet most of the day. Currently 29 degrees and that is supposed to be the high for the day. We are about 30 miles east of Charlotte.
 
I have 8 inches of snow with light snow falling right now. I am in yadkinville, nc, about 30 miles west of winston-salem, nc on highway 421.

Youngest one went out and measured with my best tape measure this morning. The back porch had almost 1 3/4", but the yard only about an inch. Went out a couple of hiurs ago and the hwy dept is slack here on 385 in spots, but I kinda blame the north bound closure for that.
 
Does the name Tim or Jeff Sanders ring a bell? Jeff would probably be closer to the time frame than Tim would, and Jeff played football under Willie.
