730 virgil, some are registered and some are bred to herefords, they get along just fine with the non-horned,been raising the highlanders for about 10 years now, they are all big babies nice and gentle even (SHEP) the bid old bull.

I have read that they can thrive in very cold weather and eat all sorts of things, brush poor hay ect. But how do they taste? Are you raising them for beef?

Nice looking critters are they good eating.Just got back from Longhorn BBQ and open forum an there is some large horned cattle kinda funny. Thanks for the pics

they taste about the same as other cattle, but are much leaner, and they will eat just about anything,I have some old moldy rained on hay that they eat before the good hay,and when the wind blows and its snowing and down right miserable out they just stand out in it like its nothing, they are an awesome animal.
