scrap iron these days

Anyone know what unprepared scap iron prices are doing? I'll probably ending up calling a few places. Have a small trailer load of leftovers from summer projects. Hopefully not too high so more of my favorite rusty machinery doesn't get recycled like a couple of years ago when it was so high. If someone knows some prices let me know. Midwest pricing preferred. Thanks.

Right now 150.00 a ton for vehicles, I haven't priced anything else recently.

Next door to where we keep our equipment the are paying .08 lb for cars and .07 lb for steel. Got .62 for aluminum and 2.67 for copper this week in Charleston SC.

Here the local place is paying 175long/200 Cars/220 for Short /this is a few miles from Ithaca,New York 14850

We take scrap iron to a buyer in Waterloo, NY. Short steel is $230 a ton. Long steel is $200 a ton. Vehicles are $200 a ton. Not much coming in. I believe when prices were over$300 a ton, the majority of scrap was iron was gathered up. Batteries are $.10 a pound.

I got $2.80 a pound for #1 copper earlier this week.Cars were getting 170 a ton

I got $90 a ton for rusted tin. The best iron is $135 a ton.
