I control the weather here. Really. About 3 weeks ago we had snow. At the time I had a small blade and was fabbing a mount for my little tractor so I could push snow off of the driveway. Finished just as the snow cleared out. Hasn't snowed since. South of us had 3-4 FEET. Mountains right by us had 6 FEET+. Valley here has had two or three dustings, melted by noon. No snow in the future forecast either.
I may hire out.

Only an inch? When I was watching the Cattlemens Convention on TV last night, they were predicting 2 inches.

From what I saw on weather channel you have freezing drizzle so far in OKC. In TX panhandle we have 1/4" or more of ice and now 3 to 6" snow of top of that ice now blowing with 15-25 mph winds suppose to get 12" or more for just today. Schools are closed if smart and most are be surprised if mail makes it at all today.

Hey Glen -

It is still clear up here in the OK strip...

Send some of that our way - the poor little wheat is sure needing a drink! :)

Nice sunny crisp day here in NW Iowa. If we don't wear sunglasses the sun reflecting off the icy crust on top of the 40 inches of snow will blind us. Jim

I'm just east of Tulsa, it's headed this way. They are predecting an inch of ice turning to sleet then snow for most of tomorrow for a total of 8 to 12 inches. Sure hope they are wrong but just in case I moved the generator out to pole, hooked it up, filled it with gas and covered it up. If we loose power all I will need to do is flip a couple breakers and pull the cord.

Also parked my van with the headlights aimed at the generator with two full 5 gal gas cans and a quart of oil. Sure hoping my prep wards off the worst.

Look on the bright side Graydon, at least your favorite ice cream won't melt.

Thanks for the <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=9xwCG0Ey2Mg">video</a> you sent me; really enjoyed it.

I"d just like to know who threw the "COLD" switch.

Single figures here, may well be negative figures tonite. Wind chill is ferocious. Took forever to do outside chores. Especially carrying hot water from the bathtub in 5 gal buckets.
