Wow what a game!

Yes, it was a great game. I wouldnt say Farve threw it away, but I'm kinda uncertain why he threw it to where he did. The Vikings would have had a 45 yard field goal at its shortest, and if it was incomplete, it would have been around 55. No matter what length, it wouldnt have been a given. Vikings should have won, but the Saints got the score when it mattered most.

I cant figure it out either, He should have threw it away, or worst taken a knee down, then they could have tried a field goal! Oh well, Who do you like in the Super Bowl?

His EGO would not let him NOT try!! It was ALL about him not the team.
That is all he has had to run on for the last two years anyway...

Nobody will think about that play or game more than Brett Farvre, I would have liked to see him win more than anybody except him,but they did'nt. He's still a class act 100%.

Are you saying your a cheese head? I respect you.. My team is the Bills,,, You know what that stands for Boy I Love Loosing Superbowls.... I also Liked John Elway and the Broncos!

He shoulda run (hobbled in his case today...) 5 yards & tried a kick from there.

But the way the game went, we woulda missed it anyhow, or more likely had it blocked and run down for a touchdown against us.....

Just one of those games.

The losing play was end of 1st half, dropped ball between Farve & Peterson with seconds left. Was a Farve fumble on the stats, but Peterson wasn't set right I blame him for the drop.

Set the tone for the 2nd half of the game, defence did well, but the offence just had 100 stoopid things go wrong, no one person, team effort to loose it.

My opinion, from MN. Everyone else is allowed to have their own. :)

The last play of Favre's last 2 playoff games, both championships, are interceptions. Its a shame, but that is the way the game ended. Vikes dominated stats, but lost. Pead ton Manning grew up in NO. His Dad played for the Saints. I will take the Saints

The Vikings had 5 turnovers, two of which were in scoring position. You don't win many games in the NFL with that many turnovers. Not a stellar performance by the Vikings on offense. That said, the Vikings defense kept it close.

Well, every Viking there played better than I could ever have, so I'm not gonna criticize them. They did give us a great season of football and an exiting game to watch last night.

Near the end of regulation play, the Vikings had 3rd down in comfortable field goal range. They probably were going to run a play into the line and go for the FG, but a lineman jumped and the five yard penalty pushed it out to a lower percentage try. The QB roll-out was the right call and Favre could have run for a few yards or thrown it away, but he tried to make something happen and made a mistake. Part of the game. I'm sure he will remember that the rest of his life, but the $12M will help ease the pain.

JayNY The Saints will have to get to Manning like the went after Favre, or they are in for a long evening. Just when you think you have the Colts down for the count, Manning says "Nuff of that; time to go to work" .... and kicks your tail.
Ask the Texans. I don't know how many times they have had the Colts seeming down & out....but Manning thought otherwise. :<(
I suspect it will be a high scoring affair. Both are good teams, but I personally wouldn't bet against Manning. As for Archie, blood's thicker than water; he'll pull for the Colts, IMHO. C.L.

I like the college rules also NN. Have you seen what they do in hockey for OT, its like the three stooges.
