ot/black mold on hoop barn cover

I"ve noticed black mold growing on the white cover of my hoop barn, mainly on the seams. I"m thinking that this can"t be good for the fabric. Is it a common problem? Do I remove it with dilute bleach or a swimming pool algaecide? Thanks in advance.

Seams have thread? Synthetic or natural? Chlorine will weaken it. But, that's what will kill the mold.

i have the same type thing on my green house cover. thick guadge plastic. i didnt think it was black mould although i could be wrong. thought it was just from rubbing on metal supports. sort of like when you climb an aluminum ladder a lot your hands get black.

Is it mold or algae? There are cleaners available for fabric awnings, marine use and tarps that have an algaecide in them that do the trick. Safer than bleach and leave a preventative residual, too.
