hello anybody on here ever do anything with an international wd-9? how many galons of fuel did they use a day(roughf estimit)? where is the kick-over lever at? i found one today and couldnt see where they were switched over at. the tractor is in a salvage yard, so there is the possibility that the lever is gone. how much power did they have? thanks

A friend of mine has/had several TD9s. They produce between 44 and 63 HP, depending upon year of manufacture. The very last TD-9s used a 6 cylinder direct start turbocharged diesel engine producing 66 HP.

If unmodified, the engine automatically changes over from gasoline to diesel after 900 revolutions.

Yes the lever is in the same location as a SMD, as for fuel they are good on fuel, about 3 to 3.5 gallons per hour working. Ideling around is less of course.

Hello,if you need any more info log on to external_link and then click on show all brands..... McCormick Deering WD-9..

they're one of the most expensive rebuilds on a old tractor there is and some of the parts are very hard to find . I thought you would like to know being as your so concerned with it's cost.

We have three of them (two run one has a cracked head) one of them I used for two years to plow 80 acres with a 3btm plow and burned a tank of fuel a day. They are great tractors in my opinion (besides the head problems they can have) and many people overlook them.
