Chip (Skip?) Foose John Deere

This got me thinking for a change. Just what sort of executive(s)at John Deere dreamed up this hare brained thing? Can you picture it? Executive(s) with their feet up on desks reading car magazines? I wonder what kind of perks they get? Like free health insurance? Free gym on the first floor? Swedish massages after? Fancy trips all over the world? Early retirement packages? Stock options? Just asking. Friend of mine worked for big construction equipment mfg for 25 years. He's back on the farm now. Travels the world in search of art and antiques. Has a car collection worth millions. But, I guess it could happen to anybody.

Just a couple of things on that tractor. I wasn't very thrilled that you have to sign up in person and can't online. But,with that said, depends on what is going to happen to it. If it's just a super nice restoration with a glass like finish, fine. If it's some hotrod custom, don't know that I really want it anyway.

I think they started with a beautiful restoration. That is the only bad thing, should have started with a rough one! I see a turbo, fancy aluminum wheels, two tone paint, some custom sheet metal work. Maybe a "puller" look.

My dream would be to do a Cummins conversion too but JD would not like that! There will be plenty of JD resto freaks that will be mad if one screw is not stock so I see no win win for JD but I am happy about the project.....

If I was to win it,I think I would put it on ebay and buy a nice pedegee'd fancy junior 2 holstein and have some fun at the shows lol.

They have pictures at the JD website but it's just a nice looking standard 4020 now. I don't think Foose has it all figured out yet.
