Blue honda like small engine anyone

I bought one from Harbor Fright in August for my tracvac on my Lazer Z. $109.00. The small engines go bad so fast on the blower, I thought Id try these cheap engines. I used it 5 days a week to pick up leaves and not one problem with it so far. Only problem was the gas cap leaked. Its called Greyhound. It has already paid for itself for me. If it dies I can get another one.
 
got one at harbor freight on sale for $99.99, 6.5 hp, use it on the wood splitter, uses less gas than the 5hp tecumseh, runs smoother and quieter, uses less gas. might blow up next time I use it, but so far I like it.
 
They'll sell you a 'free replacement' warranty for an additional $20. I asked the HF manager just what did that mean....he said, bring it back empty of gas and oil and we'll hand you a new one in the box. I bought mine for $99 and paid the extra $20. I figure if it blows within 90 days plus 24 months, that will be $20 well spent. I mounted it on a go kart...if the kids can't kill it, nothing can. That engine runs like smooth as glass.
 
i've resold a couple thru my shop...so far they've held up better than a couple Briggs replacement engines i sold...where theyre made aint the issue anymore.
 
I dident get the free replacement, but I guess I should have now that you mention it. As you said "If the kids cant kill, nothing can." Now thats funny. :)
 
Bought a 208cc, 6HP, Powerhorse engine from Northern Tool, to convert a electric powered air compressor to gas for servicing pivots. No regrets, starts easy, runs quiet, good on gas. Has pretty much the same features as a Honda, cast iron cylinder sleeve, low oil shutdown, ball bearing crankshaft. Has a two year warranty versus Honda's three year, but at $169.99 vs. $399.99, I can live with that. Local servicing dealer in the same town as the closest Honda dealer too. Whats not to like??!! :wink:
 
In case ya don't know---China Honda knock off. Northern Tool has a great price on a power washer with that engine.Gonna buy one myself.
