1947 Case SO Governor Problems

When I go to give the tractor throttle it will rev up but right away, the governor pulls it back to idle. The throttle linkage only will go to half at the control lever by the seat. But I can go to the carburetor side of the tractor I can pull the linkage and you can feel the governor kick back in and try to pull back to idle. What should I do?

I suggest you buy a service manual for it and go through the throttle and governor linkage adjustments laid out in the manual. Should take care of the problem.

governor is working then .. for proper adjustment details ,go to case forum , you are going to need proper details spelled out ,, if not you will need the book
