JD 5520 won't start

I have a JD 5520 that will turn over but not start. It has been out in cold down to 13 degrees(antifreeze was good). Have checked fuel prime, fuzes, battery, air breather solenoid cutout. When turning over, I hear a click, click sound. Before the cold weather, it started up fine. Waited for weather to get up to 50 degrees. Still won't start. Appreciate any ideas.
 
I just went through the same thing with my 3320. It was the battery. If the fuel pump is clicking, that is a good thing on some models. Mine did all kinds of clicking including the relays in the dash.

How did you check your battery? Checking voltage is not sufficient. It needs to be checked on a tester that checks how much current it can put out.

Here's one idea. Put a volt meter on the battery terminals and check voltage as you turn over the starter. On my 3320 it dropped to 2-3 volts but was 12+ volts when not loaded. I took the battery to the JD dealer. CCA was supposed to be 500+, it was 100-.

We always suspect the worst when it is not, I'm suspecting it's your battery.

Thanks.I will check it out.However, I did turn it over with it jumped.It turned over faster (obviously) but no start.
 
Good try but 99.9% of people refuse to own or use a multimeter to diagnose electrical problems. Instead they just go about polishing connections and changing random parts until they finally hit the fault.
It's possible the fuel filter or line is plugged with waxed #2 fuel.
 
My friend had a 7220, 7240 maybe (it was a new computerized model) that would prime but not start. Had a hole in the fuel line from the tank. A 6240 had a dead battery, a booster pack would crank it but it would not start. Towed it up to the building and let it charge for 10 minutes and it fired right up.

Both tractors would ether lock instantly, be careful with that stuff on these new Deeres.
