8n model no

cannot tell what model no is on motor it is pitted so bad.Have numbers on right side of tractor plate has under (type)4-2524 & on same plate is under (serial no) 1003-k9cb also on left side on clutch housing it has stamped in housing NF32 & 8n c or g .1 will this help to tell what model it is.

If you KNOW it is an 8N, that IS the model # and you must be trying to figure out the serial number????

Or, perhaps, it's a DEERE in disguise??

As Bob says. If it has a flat head engine, a 4 speed tranny and is a ford it is a MODEL 8N. The model was made from 1948 ad by the way the 8 in 48 is where the model number comes from and was made till 1952

Hello Bob thanks for info.
Need some more info.on distributor and rotor,did the 8n make too different distributors and rotor I baught a rotor and cap for the side mount dist.both are wrong,the dist. is too big and rotor where shaft goes is too small,I have a new dist. no.NCA12106A & rotor conn12200A parts sent me that I can"t use,the dist.on mine measures 3-1/8 across & rotor measures od is 3/4 & id is 9/16 to square side.The total lenght is 2-1/2 inches.Does anyone know where I might get this or does some 8n carry these.
