i have got a massey furguson 35 four cylinder red and grey (i think) and i wondering where the engine and serial numbers are and what the MHF in the casting marks on the mail castings mean.
any help will be very much appreciated. thankyou

They mean if you want to order that part they will know what part you want to order. simple

Massey Harris and Ferguson merged in the mid 50's. It wasn't until late 1957 until the name was changed to Massey Ferguson. In the interim, many components were marked with the <MHF>. That stood for Massey-Harris-Ferguson. Some major castings still carried that marking through 'till the 100 series tractors were introduced in 1964.

I have the same?? red and grey TO35, the tractor serial # is on the dash, read it right thru the steering wheel. Mine's a 1962. Grandad bought it new.

does yours have the MHF markings in the castings im wondering how many 35s were made like this

our 35 was bought new in the fall of 1959. It has some MHF castings on it.

All of them, from the first 35 up was Massey Harris - Ferguson so the MHF, Now the 30 was only Ferguson.
