The shaft I'm talking about is the one the hand crank mounts on. It in turn goes into the door and has the small gear mounted to it. That is where the problem is the small gear just slips on the shaft and that small gear in turn turns the big gear which lifts or lowers the window. So What I did was pinned the gear to the shaft instead of there press fit into the gear.

Is this what you're looking for? Replacement manual window regulator. Looks to be $60.95 plus shipping.

If you drilled through and put a roll pin in and there isn't any clearance problems, should work. I like to grease everything with white lithium.

Seems steep to me, too. I'd expect a manual window regulator to be around $30. Know a good salvage yard? I'm probably spoiled, since there's a Toyota-only salvage yard about 4 miles from my place. Right across the street is a pickup trucks only salvage yard. I guess if you have a Toyota pickup, you gotta get your parts from the middle of the street.
