Tire trouble

Ive got a Penta TMR mixer wagon that i just cant keep the tires up on.It came with 26 x 12 10 ply tires to keep the thing low to the ground.Have had it about 6 yrs and have had to buy 5 new tires since, hardly any road action just here in the yard.It will hold about 6500# of feed and i would guess the mixer would weigh around 4000#.Anybody got any remedies?

Where are they leaking from? We have had rim leaks in the past the have been fixed by sanding off the corrosion and then painting the rims. We also coat the rims with heavy grease or bees wax before we put the tiers on them. This has worked well for us.

Think I would try a taller tire. Short, wide tires are known for having problems, as they tend to want to slide. May even want to look into airplane tires.

I am restoring a farmall a and I need new rubber tires for it but i dont know what size they are suppose to be cause I cant read the writting on the sides. Anyone know?

(quoted from post at 16:30:26 01/13/10) Not familliar with the foam, whats the name of the product? How solid will it make the tire?

The foam dries hard and so you have solid tires, it would be hard to drag around. You are just plain overloading the tires. Gotta go to heavier ply rating or a different size that has higher weight rating. Or foam fill if you can live with solid tires.

Talked with Penta this morning, they said they had lots of trouble with the 10 ply and when they switched to 12 ply all troubles went away.By the way they didnt offer me a set of 12 plys for all my trouble!
