OT: Chevy truck engine question

Jon,
Do all 7.4 (454) have the same firing order? Mine is a 1988. Which is the #1 terminal on the distributer? I looked at my brother's 1994 454 and the firing order didn't look like it was 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. Is the #1 cylinder on the engine the right front? Thanks again.

Chevy V8 firing order is 18436572. #1 is on driver side unless you are down under.

1 on distributor and be ANY one of eight.......depends on how the last person installed it.
 
number one is on the driver side front what style of cap you have does the wire go stright up or outwards then you going have to look at the cap and fallow the them out fireing 1-3-5-8 driver side 2-4-6-8 pass side
