"It's pretty exciting when the ceiling's on fire." A coworker just said this to me. I think I need a raise!

Was his house on fire, or just the ceiling? It would be highly disconcerting to look in a room and see flames dancing on the ceiling!
I was a rookie fireman at our local vol. Fire Co., when we had to fight a fire at an old farm house! I looked in side, to see flames dancing on the ceiling--mighty scary, especially when the Captain told me to take a pike pole and tear down the ceiling! WOO_HOO! But, i did it!
