Heard there was 3-4% of the corn still in the field. Only a few small fields around here not out. More in Ill or Iowa? Didn't know if I believed that report. One farmer north of here has fields that it's blown down and now has 8" of snow on it and it's breaking freezing next week. Ouch. I hope they get it out somehow.

Here in northern IL (along rt 80) there is some corn still in the field. 1 guy has the equipment waiting in the field! I bet it will be hard to start at 10 degrees give or take a few.

There is quite abit out along Highway 6 East of Council Bluffs Iowa. We drove it between our 2 HUGE storms, and the drifts were as tall as the corn in places-might have to wait awhile around there! Greg

My part of southern Minesota pretty much beat the weather with a terrificly nice November. I hear of pockets to the SE and NW of the state that have some corn left to go.

Other parts of the country had worse weather, I understand some pretty big fields left in some areas.

I heard a radio report a few days ago that there is a lot out in the field in North Dakota and South Dakota and a little bit yet in Nebraska.

Here in central Iowa I've seen a couple big field with standing corn still. These field are in a flood plain and it was under water this spring.

Lots of corn still in the field in North Central Illinois, deep snow now so it won't be out till spring, makes for some fat deer!

If you get to looking around here it will suprise you how much corn still in the fields. When the weather was nice the fields were to muddy or moisture to high. Still have a corn hook around here somewhere if the mice didn't find it.

we still have corn around me n central il. my neighbor still has all his in, prolly close to 600 acres. i tried to help him last weekend to see if he could get going, between no starts and frozen equipment, we had to hold off, now with all the snow, dunno what to do.

Here in SE SD there are fields still out. A couple of 1/4 section fields and smaller patches also. My brother has 60 acres he didn't get out in NE SD.

Just finished mine Monday. (planning on posting a couple pics, IF I can figure out how to get them off the cell phone) Neighbor to the west has maybe 1/3 of his still in the field, cousin 15 miles south still has 12-15 acres, and a few other around here and there. Our ground froze hard enough to keep us from getting stuck, but the corn was real wet. Even the last stuff I took in was around 20% Saw a few guys hauling in wetter stuff than I had.

I've got a lot in the field in a pile, but that's another story.
There's a fair amount around here yet. One guy in particular. I saw his trucks on the road yesterday morning before the snow started,so they must have the combine up here. It had been on the farm in Illinois. Last I heard they had just 70 acres there to finish and wanted to get it done. Musta got it.

yea, still corn to be harvested in the Dakotas. North Dakota more so. Struggled to get corn below 30%. I live in SD and the entire harvest was a battle. Starting with the wheat in August. It was a real odd year for us. Cold and wet. We're usually begging for moisture where we live. Can't complain about the yields though, some of the best ever. We finished corn on Dec 21. Still some guys in the area trying to get some corn out, but with the latest bout of snow and -30 below air temps, I'm sure harvest will grind to a halt.

I'm pretty sure there is still at least one field in NW Kansas, mine. It wasn't ready when the tenant picked mom's.

I know of one 80 acre field in NE that made a really nice snow fence. He never starts before everyone else is done.......It is standing pretty well so far but full of drifts.

Saw at least 1000 acres in western IA on a trip a week ago.

Road trip Tue across Illinois I 80 to I 74 to rt 34 into Iowa. A lot of corn in the fields with deep snow. DeKalb Co in Il south of DeKalb has a good share of standing corn in the wind tower field area.

Are the beans starting to swell?

Over 7 % standing corn will make a market price difference.

I still see some in Ohio too. Have no idea how to judge it as alot has been picked but there is still some out there yet.
