Hello Guys.
You have helped me a lot with questions about my Farmall tractors, what I want to know is has anybody took the tank down on a 1994 jeep wrangler 4 liter, I need to replace the fuel pump. Thanks for any help.
Ken.

It should be, Relieve pressure on fuel line, loosen the fuel tank straps, undo all the electrical lines(sender, fuel pump) undo the filler hose and pressure line, return line. put a floor jack with a piece of plywood or 1x8(unless the tank is empty,to keep from denting the tank) under the fuel tank and lower it,make sure there is no clips that hold any of the lines to the tank. Then remove the fuel sender, with the fuel pump attached to it.

I put a fuel pump in a 89 full size Chev used air chisel to make fuel pump access hole in trunk floor. One shop told him $1000 might need pump, sending unit for gauge ,straps, and tank .

Fuel pump on my sisters Jeep cherokee was in the front top corner of the gas tank. Could access it fron the left rear wheel well. Luck Bernie Steffen

Not all that hard to do if the tank is 100% empty but if it has much gas in it then it will be a bear. At least that jeep should sit up high enough to be able to do it with out jacking it up much if any. A good floor jack and a piece of wood to shield the tank and taking the wires hoses and straps loose and down it comes. BTDT on a good number of cars and sure do hate the newer fuel pumps in the tank what a royal pain in the back sides

sometimes its easier to pull the 8 bolts that hold bed on and lift it up for access to fuel pump.
