My first tractor

Bought this tractor arround 24 years ago just after my youngest son was born. Tractor is a 1959 International B450 with 3 pnt. Tractor was a runner but very difficult to start and needed lots of ether. I restored it 22 years ago and since then have attended lots of local Scottish vintage shows. I guess I must have cover at least 1000 miles with it (not all at once of course). The first couple of years I had it I only showed the one tractor but as the yeares passed I started towing a Fordson e27n Perkins diesel behind and at one point the E27n and an Allis B which she was more than able to tow. Top speed is 24 mph which was good for the time.

That a very nice looking tractor you have there. Is there any chance of some more pictures? Especially of the 3pt. I have just acquired a 1957 IH W450D and I'm not quite sure what its fate will be yet but if I can construct a 3pt for it it will be that much more likely to be salvaged. Thanks, Sam
 
Yes it was purpose made by a previous owner who was always looking for ways to save money. His idea was that the engine speed could be dramatically reduced when driving a threshing drum and so less fuel used which equated to lower running costs. This pulley is a one off and because these were low reving engines with lots of torque they were able to drivr the drum fiarly easily. The same owner was also a bit of a DIY engineer and when the original engine liners wore out he decided to make his own. The guy who used to drive it once told me the owner fitted the liners and had the tractor on light loads for a while but the first time it was used in anger it seized right up.
