OT-South central Iowa roads?

Supposed to travel for Christmas.Wifes folks are up at Creston,Ia.Can anyone give me an accurate report on I-35 and 34 hwy in Iowa.Thanks

We went to daughters' house in Murray,we live in Osceola,at 1:00 o'clock this afternoon.Hwy.34 slicker than snot on a rack handle.Stayed about an hour then headed home.I wouldn't try traveling until late Saturday.Brian

Thanks for the reply,and sorry I couldnt get back to you sooner.I was busy after I posted this thread until now.We postponed until Saturday afternoon when our road was cleared.By then all roads were in great shape up north,I had to bust a few drifts on our nearest state highway,but all roads up north were smooth sailing.
