Blemished Tires

I bought a set of Armstrong blems once. Supposedly cosmetic blems. All 4 eventually blew from delamination. Armstrong wouldn't stand behind them.

My last Armstrong tires. They lied.

Never used a radial blemish, but years ago I bought several sets of Bias Ply blemish car tires and never had any trouble with them, usually could not even tell what the blemish was.

my experience with blems was on bias ply tires too ...always rode good.
if youre looking for some low priced tires check with Firestone and see if they still handle Triumph brand tires...made in Korea...i bought a set for my F150 about 10 years ago...absolutely best wearing tires i ever owned and they were 4 for 100 bux back then.

I bought a blemished ag tire for my round baler from Nebraska Tire. It was about half of the cost of a regular new tire and free shipping. I've only used it for one season, but it seems like a good tire. I would probably do it again, but not sure about car/truck tires (blowouts scare me).

Nought a set of radial studded winter tires from Nebraska tire. Put them on the Tracker on 1 November. They are on there til 1 April. Fifth winter of use and they are still going.

Bought a set of 4 blems for a Ford Fiesta I owned many years ago. Ordered them through the local Sears catalog order center. The tires were supposed to be a matched set, but when I got them I found 3 different tread patterns, but since I was desperate for tires on that little car, I decided to use them anyhow, and went to work mounting them myself. The next morning I found 3 of the 4 were flat, so I aired them up and then squirted some soapy water on them, only to find that the tires would not hold air. Those three tires were actually seeping air from nearly every square inch of the circumference of the tread. It gets complicated after that. Many tires were sent to me, and finally I ended up with 2 tires that would hold air, and had to put tubes in the other two.

I buy all the blems I can get to resale. Today's blems are really appearance blems and have nothing to do with the integrity of the tire, just some little cosmetic glitch that keeps it from being sold as a first rate tire.
