another way to run a PTO pump

I have a 445 MM utility tractor . When I have my snow blower running off the PTO I can't use the loader because it runs off a PTO hyd. pump. Is there another option for running the loader hydraulics ? I tried hooking into the rear hyd. couplers from the tractors main hyd. pump but it does not have enough output. Any suggestions ?

Add a pump to the crankshaft pulley front of the motor. Don't really know your tractor, but on d-series Allis tractors, you just got the mount off an industrial version of the same tractor. If you can't mount off the front, can you hang one, belt driven, off motor? Also, I hung one off of a flat belt pulley, once.

Can you run the blower from the PTO hydraulic pump? I have seen blowers for skid-loaders that are powered by a hydraulic motor. Depending on the size of the blower this might be an option.

Does your pto pump have the hollow pto shaft that slips over the tractor pto shaft. If it does then just get a hold of a stub shaft and slide it in the pump shaft. Local imp. dealer should have it.

I had a Case, model C, from the 30"s, and put a
front mounted snowplow on it. I put a 2 belt
pulley on the generator, and ran a small hyd.
pump off that. I calculated 800 psi and 5 gpm
to lift 2, 3 inch bore hyd cylinders. Belt did"nt
slip. I mounted a 3 gallon tank along side the
tractor in some implement mounting slots.Enough
oil for cold weather work..it never got hot.
because I was plowing in Wisconsin cold I used ATF
for fluid. I mounted a small, 3/8 inch ported
valve where I could reach it, and plumbed with
3/8 single braid hose,(Aeroquip FC-300) and used
a 3/4 inch ID suction line, so as not to starve
the pump when oil was cold. You had to be like a
Monkey, however, in order to steer, work the Case
hand clutch, and the Hyd. valve.
I later moved the same set up to a Case DC, but
drove the same pump from an extension thru the
front crank hole off an adapter from the crankshaft pulley.

I don't know your tractor, so which options work:

Pass through shaft on the pto pump. Probably make the pto shaft too short & angled for a 3pt blower tho?

Front crank-mount pump. Typical for loaders.

Pulley mount pump - off a flat beltpulley.

V-belt pump, comes off the front on a double pulley by the fan belt.

Rebuild the internal pump on your tractor - must be worn if it doesn't lift a loader.

I'm running a hyd loader off my Jetstar hyd outlets. It's a 62 Brown Jet, could there be a problem with the 445 pump?

These are three options. Don't know if the concepts will work on your tractor.

Your easiest solution is to shove a double ended 1-3/8" shaft in your Prince pump and attach the snow blower driveshaft to it. This is what the pumps were engineered for.

The other guys have covered it pretty well. I prefer the crankshaft driven pump myself.

HEY WARDNER... In your middle photo thats a
Char-Lynn motor, or clone. Are you using a motor
as a gerotor pump? or just as an example?
(I've got Char-Lynn gertor pumps-so I know it's
possible)
