Bought a Meyers blade and lift pump that needs a new motor. Have the new motor but not sure how to replace it.Do you just take the nuts off the top of motor and lift old motor off? Sounds like we are going to need it soon as 12-14 inches of sbnow are forcast. Thanks for any help. I think the pump is a E-47. Harold

Angelos and a few other have WEB sites that will guide you through the process. Not that bad.

Herald,
Bummer indeed. I just rebuilt my neighbor's Meyer drive motor Saturday night. His was just remove the two through bolts and pull off the field case. Then you tapped off the pressed on armature and there is a little floating square connector jaw that couples the armature to the pump. Frackin' Prestolite is a pain, but it is just a heavy duty starter with constant RPM windings.

He knew it was bad for six months, but he hands it to me the night of the first big snow. Luckily this hillbilly has vast quantities of old starter and generator parts left over from the days of running a generator/motor shop. Nice thing is that he would get out of bed to help me do anything. He would even fire up his backhoe if a body needed burying.

Happy plowing.
