Sold the cows ,no chores.Got 5 tractors JD 4010Diesel ,JD 2155 ,JD 50, Farmall H,and TC26 NH
Love'm all .Neighbors think I'm nuts cause I just start them and drive around the section.Like to hear them run .Just got back in the house from firing up the 50.What a sweet sound. Not much to do on 12acres of frozen dirt.

Well, you got some nice tractors, what did you sell the cows for??? As much as I some days hate our Black Angus cows/calfs/feedlot, I would loose my mind without having them to tend to.

I don't think you are nuts at all. Different things bring joy to different people. I would love to have you run that 50 past my place.

Some of these winter days I wonder why I have them. Most days there is nothing I would rather be doing then feeding them. If the pasture and feedlot were empty, The wife would want to know why the machine shed is still full of tractors and machiney. I guess it goes back to when was a kid, no matter how cold it was always had to help dad feed.

Just had a calf out of the blue Weds. 1st calf heifer, found a spot all stommped out and bare, out of the wind, had the calf all liked off and nursed. No prettier sight! Wont ever give it up if its up to me, started doing it with my dad when I was 5 years old and now he is gone but I'm doing it with my boys. Some of the cows we have are still cows dad and I had together just a great family function.

Sold out.moved to the south of NM not too far from the Rio Grande. Dont have to shovel snow, cut firewood or go out on a cold winter night to check cows. Would have liked to kept the Ferguson.

Last fight I had with my ex wife started with her tell'n me she thought I loved my cows more than I loved her. What's a man to say to something like that. All I could do was make a list, they are glad to see me when I come home, they try to pay their way best they can and every now and then I can touch one with out getting kicked.

My wife now has two cows of her own, I think she loves the cows more than I do. We get along fine.

Hope the day never comes when I have to consider selling them.

I always keep a few feeders around to give me a good reason to get out of the house. I guess it just makes me feel needed. I'm sure your not the only one here who just jumps on the tractor and takes a drive for no particler reason. I found myself doing it more when a got a tractor with a heated cab.

Nearly 70 yr. old ,retired and becoming harder to find someone to look after them when we leave.Gave up my rented pasture .Thinking of going South for the winter so so long moo moos.Figure I can allways buy some more if I get real lonesome

glad my ex skank never confronted me with that....I would have been eager to tell her the truth, I do love the cows more than her.
