Raining here and 32 degrees, lots of rain today. Not fun feeding cows in it. I say every year I'll bale a few bales with sisal twine so I can dump them and go in these situations.

This is western SC. About 40 miles NW in NC they are getting slushy snow, expecting to get up to 2 feet of snow on the high mountains. You guys North of me on the east coast, get ready, it's coming your way.

Snow started here at 3 pm. Ground is just covered and nothing on the highway yet at 6pm. Locla from WSET TV says."updated Friday at 5:16 pm by Sean Sublette"

Snow will continue all night and early Saturday, with some snowfall rates as high as 1-2 inches per hour. The intensity of the snow will decrease during Saturday afternoon before ending by Saturday evening. Total storm accumulations will average 10-18 inches in Lynchburg, 14-24 inches in Roanoke, and 6-12 inches across Southside. Some areas of sleet are likely to mix in across the Southside Virginia areas, helping hold accumulations down.

Got dry wood in, fed the cows, road blade on the Deutz Agrofarm 100 and the PTO generator close by to hook up if needed. I"m ready.

They're calling for 12 inches of snow or more in NE Maryland. Hal
PS: Have the snowblower gased up and the blade on the garden tractor.

snow started near Richmond,Va. about 5pm . I wish Al Gore had have kept that global warming a secret, we haven't had snow in this area before Christmas in a donkey's age. However long that may be.

Been raining all day here in Charleston. It started about 5 mins. after I got in the deer stand this morning.

At 4 PM, I was at the state line (Landrum) and the sleet/snow was several inches, and coming down hard.. At 5 we started getting frozen mix at I-85.

Davis, I bet coming up that hill from the state line by Bird mountain is interesting now.

Thats EXACTLY why I live in SE AZ. Temp today was near 70. Changed oil in the Vibe, put some sealer on the roof of a leaky storage trailer, played with my grandson, cleaned up the battery on his moms car and charged the battery, worked on prepping my 2N for paint, replaced a leaky faucet in the yard. I LOVE it here.

Yes, tempting to head up the mountain tomorrow.. Remember the surprise snow we had on March 1st of this year? I went to Saluda and Hendersonville the next day, snow was several feet deep in some places.

Well, get it all cleaned up before I get there. We are heading out to Ft. Bragg next Wed. Our daughter is there with her two kids. SIL is serving second tour in Afganastan. Thought we would be with her this Christmas.

Going to have to take northern route through WV because of I40 rock slide.

We had some HUGE snowflakes here in Raleigh this afternoon. Only lasted a few minutes, but the snowflakes were almost as big as golf balls. Looked fake. All we've had is rain since about 5:00 (still raining).

Unofficial but I measure almost a foot and a half here. Just west of Warrenton VA. I gassed up the IH and put on the back blade yesterday, so I will be able to get out.
