Fuel storage barrel problem

I got a couple of 55gal plastic barrels for extra fuel storage, cheap. The barrels had been priviously used to store liquid soap. Problem is, I have tried to rinse out the residual soap. But it seems no matter how much rinsing I do, I can't get all the soap out (Still bubbles when hit with the hose) I wanted to store kerosene in the barrels. Any ideas how to get the soap out? What problem, if any, would the residual soap cause, if I just went ahead and filled the barrels? Thanks, Jack

Very little since Kerosene has a certain amount of what they make soap from in it.
I wouldn't worry one bit about the left over residue in the barrels.

they are always advertising that they put detergent additives in fuel, looks like thats what you would have! You'll probably have the cleanest engine in town.

Fuel for what? The ultimate use probably will determine what effect, if any, the soap has on the performance of the fuel and the effect on the equipment.
