New tires Flat free

Soon the cops will not need stop sticks.

Modern cars can be remotely stopped electronically.

Though the cops have neither means nor authority to do this, it's only a matter of time.

I just heard on the radio that LoJack is offering a slowdown feature that can be operated by police.

My work well on a test track but will never happen in the real world.

1. Freezing weather could creat unbalance conditons leading to libility issues or stick your car to the ground.
2. Whole new meaning to blowout when it comes apart and takes off the entire fender.
3. Instant roll over hazard if you ever get sideways when they dig in.
4. "scheduled to be out on the market very soon" posted over a year ago.

Shoot off and on since the early 60s they have had tires that would fix them self's or could be run flat for 50 or so miles. Nothing new here just a tkae off from what had been done in the past and all of what had been tried back then where dropped because of one problem or the other. One I remember from about 25 years ago was a self sealing tire that had a tar like stuff on the in side which did work but if that stuff didn't fix it, it could not be fixed by patching it because of having no way to get the tar stuff out of the way for a patch

Since this new tire design requires no air; got me to thinking about compressed air.

I've been taking a vitamin supplement (can't recall the name) to improve memory and just had a flashback.

Does anyone remember back in the mid 60's when Phillips 66 started advertising "Pink Air 66" painted on their tankers?

I restored a military half-track made in 1944 that had run flat tires on the front but they weren't practical in the real world. The sidewalls were just extremely stiff. The rims were the two piece kind where the outer ring bolted on. It took two hours per rim to get the old tires off. Regular military tires went back on. The owner didn't figure anyone would be shooting at him in parades. Jim
