I have been searching ads for tractors and I have come accross some that look to be too good to be true such as a JD 6420 with 6oo hrs for $5000. When I contacted them it was a reply from some one in Romania. They say everything is above board but I doubt it. Has anyone any experience in this?
 
If it was a 6420 with those hours for 50K it would be too good to be true. For 5K it's clearly a scam... no if's, an's but's or mabey's.

That's what I'm talken about! A real deal I'll take it; however my cousin said to offer half, looks like a scratch on the hood.
 
Check external_link or fastline.com for similar tractors,if the tractor your looking at is about 5% of what a dealer is asking it's is either a ------ off wife in a nasty divorce or a scammer. My money's on the scammer. Flag them or report them to ebay.
 
They don't have an actual tractor, just a picture of one from another ad or site on the internet. They'll ship it to you after you pay, and then come get it and refund your money if you don't like it. It's always somewhere about a thousand miles from you, and to shut them up fast, just say "Hey, my uncle lives just down the road in Yazoo City! Where is it, I'll have him come take a look!" Click... Hmmmm....

How do I know? Wife's friend got all excited about a living quarters horse trailer for $3,500, so I got to check it out.

Some guy came on the board a couple years ago with a link to such an ad, with a pic of his tractor. He said he wasn't even aware that he had it for sale. We all got a good laugh out of it.
