Looking at purchasing 1980 White 2-105 4WD. Looks to be well maintained with 7000hours on tractor and motor rebuilt 3000hrs ago. I"m not familiar with these tractors, looking for some thoughts on what these trctors were like.

i would recommend you go post this on the oliver forum. That is where the people who have drove the 105's will be.

No disappointments on a 2-105.6 cyl 354 Perkins engine with a turbo.Same basic tractor(with updates) as an Oliver 1850 which was one of Ollie's finest.

About as good a machine as you can get, check that the over under shifts crisply and doesn't lag, the Perkins is a great engine and if properly rebuilt should give years of service. Neighbor has had one for many years and it never gives him any trouble.

had ours for two years, check over/ under, and also wiggle fan blade back and forth( tells you if it will need a water pump) ours went out one day while i was discing tore up the radiator, pain to put one in. all in all its very well worth it.
