Define abbrevation, please

I can usually figure out some of the abbrevations used here, but what does "IIRC" mean?

So then,when you see an add on TV with a phone number,sometimes there's another number under it that says TTY or TYY. What does THAT mean?

TTY is short for teletypewriter.
A telecommunications device for the deaf. TDD

Abreviation, intialism, and acronym are all different things. You can pronouce an acronym and can't pronounce an intialism as one word.

You should be in the military, theirs' don't make ANY sense, even when you do know what they stand for.
