I need hubs for a JD 70

You might ask your same question on the <a href="http://www.ytmag.com/jd/wwwboard1.html">John Deere</a> forum.

Some one on the JD forum should know the rim size necessary for the set of 18.4 38"s you want to mount.

All of our 70"s have 12 inch rims.

Joey, you can do this in a number of ways. You can simply bolt on 16 inch double bevel rims and install your 18.4's right on the wheel castings you now have. Or you can find a set of aftermarket dual hubs for tractor. Many sizes of Deere tractors used the same 3 1/8" axle size. You can bolt a nine-bolt dual wheel on these hubs. You can also find a factory dual hub setup for the later tractors which will also bolt right on your tractor. These have all been tried and tested and all work fine. Hope this helps. Mike

Hey Joey, I've got a pair of excellent M&W clamp on hubs that came off a 4010 (3-1/8" axle I believe) that I need to sell. Email me if you are interested. Will sell very reasonable.

A 4630 has 3 5/8" axles. You will be looking for hubs that are 3 1/8". This size was used on 60, 70, 620, 630, 720, 730, 3010, 4010, 3020, 4000 and some 4030 tractors. The factory hubs tighten with wedges (just like your regular wheel castings) and the aftermarket ones usually use U-bolts. Aftermarket or factory dual hubs are not terrribly hard to find. They are out there. Mike
