help on the fuel system

does anyone know anything about the fuel system of a DC case tractor

Not much to know. Sediment bowl,gas line,carburator.If it has an inline filter,it shouldn't be there. What else do you need to know about it?

Is there an easy way to get the glass bowl filter off without breaking it? The gas in it has to be at least 10 years old and it's really nasty but I'm having a hard time getting it off, I don't want to break it

mite just take the whole assy off as it will be plugged and you will need to soak to get the junk out. Fuel line will probably be plugged also. The the gas tank will need to be cleaned.

Look down in that tank with a good flashlight and see if its all gummed up from that old gas. You may need to pull it. Hal

now I feel really stupid! LOL That was a pretty simple and I'm sure you are right it will need cleaning. Thank you, I had brain lock I guess.

actually as surprised as I am to find the tank is pretty clean it had been emptied it was only holding gas in the filter and lines so I'm good there thank you though
