Well all good things have to come to an end. I have had a great deal of fun and learned so much from all the fine folks (and a few nut jobs) on this site. As of right now city code of conduct says you can get caught goofing off online once a year with out getting canned and I picked up a bad virus Thursday night and could not get it off the work pooter. It didn't get to the server so I ain't fired, but they had to bring in enough help to get it off that I had to get a write up. I will still stop in from time to time at the house but I am not going to be around as much as I have the last 4 or 5 years. See every one next Thanksgiving!! Every one be sure to be nice now Santa is watching and if you use this site to kill time at work some one else might be too!!!

So sorry. But a good warning to others.
Friend tells me that the first thing a GOOD friend does if you die is to format your computer history.

sorry to hear that.

My time is limited for the similar reasons. I get 15 minutes at lunch for appropriate internet use.

Just can't keep up on all the postings I would like.

Someone's stolen your handle and used it just 18 minutes after you posted this.......in a Craigslist post. Ain't nothing sacred..........

Plowboy, You need to straighten your self out and get your priorities straight. What is more important tractors or your job? So march right in to the boss and tell them you need unlimited time for tractors at work or no more work!

That's the messed up part. My boss worked half the day Monday try'n to clean it up before any brass found it. If she had been able to get it off with out have'n to get'n brass involved I'd be ok. My boss is pretty cool but she needs her job as bad as I need mine.

Drop in from time to time and let us know how you're getting along.

Sure learned a lot about harvesting tobacco from you; thanks for all your information.

Good to know that you've still got your "day" job.

OT: You mentioned that "Santa is watching"; last night on PBS we were watching Santana.

You're at the water plant nights ? Guess you'll have to keep a low profile while on duty, well umm they do have those new fancy kinds of phones with the net, GPS and a bunch of other app's, I recently upgraded to one, "droid" very reluctantly too, $$ and extra $30 per month or so, but the service sure works well, fits in your pocket, you won't be making any long posts with the keyboard on it, silly little gadget sure is impressive though, you can load some music on it, that might help get through the night shift LOL !

I am looking into a netbook, my fat thumbs and a phone don't work good! If I can get one of them right and not pay too much I am going to go that route.

So why wasn't the antivirus good enough to prevent the infection? Sounds like it's their IT dept's fault.

I worked at an internet company and that's the way we looked at it. Now if we brought in our own computer and it infected the network then we were in trouble!

Thats a good question. I thought the same thing, but being a government joint I figure it's better to sign my name with my big boy pants on and not try to sling any one else under the bus like EVERY one else does when they get a hand smack'n.
