Kubota starting problem

Kubota MX5000 normally shuts off when key is turned to "off", so apparently has a solenoid that turns off injector pump when key is turned off. Went to start it yesterday, and it starts, but when I release the key to "run" position, it quits. Think its the ignition switch, or the fuel pump solenoid? Tractor only has 350 hours.

BTW, I'm ordering a shop manual Monday- just wanted to get a jump on it.

Mike, with only 350 hours I'd think it is still under warranty.
That being said if you lift the hood and have someone turn on the switch you should be able to see the fuel solenoid actuate. Its probably located on the right side of the engine (from the drivers set)near the fuel tank. It is actuating or it wouldn't start at all. Watch it to see if it shuts off when the switch key is released. I'm not sure but there may be a fuse somewhere in that system or it may be the switch is bad. After diesels start there is only one reason they won't run and that is lack of or no fuel.

Mike give me a tick or a phone number and I will tell you where to look .. 28years Kubota experience. Simple fix but too much to post here.

Thanks for the call, jm- that's kind of what I figured, but not familiar with the system, so your info will help.
