Hey guys :)

This video is from a really good friend on youtube of mine... His name is Ron and hes from Texas.

He bought this nice oliver last summer and hes been fixing it up.

The rims were rotted out around the valve stems, so he took them off and found this...

Hes looking for one of the U-bolts that holds the hubs on his Oliver 77...

Does anyone have an extra??

Yes, spring shops can make U-bolts to order. Probably one of the easiest parts you could ever have made. I think the jack stands under that tractor should be moved further out especially if he's pulling with a big snipe. Dave

I agree on the spring shop making bolts. I have had a set made for a 1550 and 1800. Agco dealer wanted $60 each for bolts for the 1800. I had 6 made with nuts for $80.

Darn. Everyone beat me to it. Throw my hat in for finding someone local to make them. Asking at a heavy truck repair center would be a start.

Have you tried asking Maggie at Kuhn's Equipment Repair. There website might have something on it. www.sntiquetractorsrus.com She helped me find a used grill that no one else could find for me. Or Ask Bob he is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to tractors. I have a few different ones and he has been able to help me with all of them.

It looks to me like someone was having trouble getting them loose and used a cutting torch on them so they could adjust the axle if he can get the nut backed away and then grind the curved section off he could just drive them out towards the nut. He may have to take the hub off to fix it in that case he needs to grind the end of the bolt so it will not get hung up on the mushroomed end on the bolt.

Maggie and I talk all the time.... That's where I ordered a U-bolt today.. then I come home to find YOUR suggestion... How cool is that?? Ron

Hello Everyone... I found a Brand New U-bolt @ Kuhn"s in New York.. It arrived today. Thanks for all the help, and Suggestions... Ron
