hey nancy, hope you and james have a great thanksgiving, and here is a self defense move you need to teach your horses!!!! boy this guy was dumb!
kick here

Yes, we're going to have a relaxed Thanksgiving at the farm. Gonna take it easy, eat and watch football games.

That poor fellow obviously didn't know anything about horses or he would have known to get out of the way as soon as the horse tucked up to kick. At least he didn't appear to be seriously hurt. He did forget to put his hat back on.

A horse's field of vision does not allow it to see directly behind them. That's why its dangerous to come up behind a horse. They can't see what's there and will frequently kick.

I'm sure you can find all sorts of videos (I've seen a few) of people doing something thoughtless around a horse and paying for it. I've done a few of those. Luckily the price was not high and I learned a good lesson.

I think it was part of the act. Trained to do that.
Do you think that the old time kings sent their sons off to war on un-trained horses? War houses were highly trained to do such things.

Many years ago, my uncle rode a horse to town one night. As he was putting it in a stable, another horse kicked him & broke his leg. Some how he ended up on a kitchen table with the doc setting his leg. A young gal took care of him for a while & he ended up marrying her. They are both deceased now.
