Does anyone know if a 124 continental can be bored out to a 162

Suggest you contact Montes Equipment in Chicago for definite answer (nice guys/really sharp), but IMHO no material would be left in walls as the bore would remove ~.219" on the RADIUS (3.4385-3.0000 divided by 2). Per early manuals max. piston for any F series rebore appears to be .030". Good luck.

Check in the archives on here. I think someone had posted that the 124, 140 and 162 all use the same block but I'm not sure. Dave

Yes, it can. I have done it on my Case VC. Had to re-do it as 1 cylinder had a pinhole into the water jacket. Had to rebore and install a sleeve in that one. The power is fantastic though... Gene
