Where can I find the serial number on a 2010 gas John Deere?

The only tag on a 2010 is on the left side of engine block.

I have the same situation on a JD 2010 industrial model. The tag is missing on the engine. There is supposed to be another tag on the rear of the transmission, but mine is covered by the backhoe.

I read somewhere that there may be a number stamped on the seat frame. I found a number stamped on a 1/4 inch plate on the right side under the seat. It seems to fit the range of serial numbers for my tractor, so I am using that for now.

Maybe yours has one there too.
