Opening day Sat. New York. Not a real big one ,but hes awful proud.I took one bow season so the freezers full.

good freezer filler.We cant even shoot a buck(antlered deer) that doesnt have at least 4 points on one side.Ive had to pass up on meat deer because of it

Me personally wouldnt have shot it, just because you could have let him grow a few more years. But meat is meat and he is excited. Im not tryin to rain on anyones parade just my personal opinion.

Everybody's first buck is always exciting! In your excitement as a "Dad" you've failed to notice that your "boy" isn't a boy.

CONGRATS!!

We are starting the second full week of rifle season here in KY. I have been holding out for something like the pic Roy posted last night but I am going to try to find some freezer meat this week.
