OT: shooting benches

I am thinking about making a shooting bench. Have any of you guys made one or seen a good style of one that is foldable, (I am not talking about a $200 Cabelas bench)

I have looked at plans on the internet but the ones I have seen are solid heavy duty that dont fold up. I would like to make a foldable wood bench, I only need it to be for a right hand shooter. I would like to be able to put this on my back deck and shoot a .22 rimfire rifle from the bench. If you have made one then post a picture. I need more ideas.

There was one on youtube that used legs like a folding table. Lost the link in a 'puter crash about a month ago. Seek, and ye shall find (maybe).

maybe build something that you can clamp onto the deck railing , for a .22 you would not anything huge i also have heard that an old fold up ironing board works well

My buddy has built a half dozen or so for us. Like a short folding table (you can get legs at Menards) with a chunk carved off at the left rear. He then covered them with a short nap carpet. We set our Outers Rifle rests on top and you are good to go. Walmart used to sell a short folding stool that was perfect height for me to sit at the table. We shot prairie dogs with these, using anything from 17 center fire to 25/06. hope this helps you. Remember...Gun control is the ability to hit what you aim at.

I've found a 2 gallon gear oil jug sat on the hood of my pickup makes a barrel rest of the appropriate height.
